Register of business interests of headteachers and governors

You must keep a register of interests.

Your register of interests must:

• Be in a readily accessible format
• Set out the relevant business and pecuniary interests of all members of the governing body (including the headteacher) and those of any member of their immediate family
• Include governance roles in other educational institutions
• Include any material interests arising from relationships between governors or relationships between governors and school staff (including spouses, partners and close relatives)
• Include associate members, making clear whether they have voting rights on any of the committees they sit on
