Risk assessment: manual handling
Where it is not reasonably practical to avoid the need for employees to undertake manual handling operations at work which involve a risk of injury, you must carry out an assessment of the risks, taking into account the:
- Tasks
- Loads
- Working environment
- Individuals' capabilities
- Other factors
- Questions in column 2 of Schedule 1 to The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (linked in the 'sources' section below)
